Swimming in 3 degree weather
We went swimming this morning. It was 3 degrees out when we left. Are we crazy? Yes crazy from this cold cold weather. It was fun there was only us and this other dad with his baby there. The pool wasnt the warmest pool in the world but it was fine.
Tigerlily put a life vest on and played on this table they put in the water so she could stand on it. She likes doing that. She would hang on the edge and then go back to the table. I got her to hang around my neck so she could swim with me. Then i got her to let me hold her tummy so she can kick and move her arms. She was getting cold because she wansnt moving enough. Plus she got her hair wet. Or should i say Daddy got her hair wet LOL. They were playing ball and spashing each other. We have to do some convincing when it comes to leaving the table. She just isnt that certain about water and floating and all that stuff. She likes solid ground. But most people do anyway.
Daisy just stayed in her doggy floaty. She lets us swim out with her and just swim around. Only once did she get out to stand on the table and she let me hold on to her and walk around for a few minutes. But after that we had to get out cause Lily was getting to cold.
So we got out. I brought the hair dryer thank goodness cuz they were both shivering. But after i got their cloths on and stuff they were much better.
While i got the girls and i dressed and dried Dadddy was able to go get Burger King and by the time we got done with ourselves he was back already. That was great. So we got home at a decent time. Also Daisy was about to loose her mind from hunger.
But so far the day is good even tho it is FRICKEN COLD out. Just have to keep putting the layers on. We are up to a whooping 16 degrees now YEAH!!!!! Never mind the wind chill puts us at 6 degrees. :(
