Faith centered Army family

As we travel through our lives "the army way" we want to share it with our family and friends. All our ups and downs and tribulations. With the army nothing is ever certain, but we know with God all things are. "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

To Ccccold

It is so cold out. Right now at 1:20 it is 36 degrees and this morning it was below 20. We are supposed to get snow this afternoon but it wont be the fun kind. We get snow that is hard and you cant make anything with it. You go outside to play in it and your feet go "crunch crunch" cuz it is frozen.

The girls both want snow. I know it is cuz they remember the snow at nana's and papa's the nice fluffy snow that was easy to make into a snow man. Lily sort of remembers this crunchy snow but i believe she is still hopeful for the soft fluffy kind. Which i am glad that she can be hopeful.

So it is so cold and windy. Cold is one thing but add wind to it and it is freezing. It just cutts through you. Not as bad as wyoming, i hope i never have to live there. Mom will never come and visit me there lol. But it is so windy and cold our house has cold air coming in from every imaginable and unimaginable place. We sealed most our window with the plastic stuff. Which i hate. But it keeps the cold out. But then there is our back door, we put a big blanket in front of it, then the part where the wall meets the floor by one of the windows, more cold air seeping through. Our front door and the closet by it , cold air. So we just cant win when it gets this cold with this crappy made house. But i am thankful for this house too. At least we dont have hard wood floors or have to pay for all this heat we are using. At least not yet.

Now the upstairs is another thing. It is pretty warm up there. Cause we all know that heat rises. But daisy's bed is by the corner wall, and her mattresses are cold. But she doesnt mind and she is the one that has not gotten sick while all the rest of us have. Crazy huh.

So the ground hog said 6 more weeks of winter. I am not happy but the girls are cuz they want the snow. So of course they each have prayed to God for snow. I will be happy if they get it but i wont mind if they dont.
I want spring, i want thunderstorms, i want to see rainbows and sunscreen and to wear skirts and shorts. Cant wait for gargage sales. To have one and to shop them.

But until then i will enjoy the coziness of snuggling under a blanket with Frank and the girls, the hot chocolate, the warm cookies and art prodjects.
