Faith centered Army family

As we travel through our lives "the army way" we want to share it with our family and friends. All our ups and downs and tribulations. With the army nothing is ever certain, but we know with God all things are. "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of we do not see." Hebrews 11:1

oh my

Ok, so no one in our family is keeping up the blog. So i guess that leaves me. The new year has been great so far. Frank's time off that he recieved was wonderful. It truely showed me how much his job sucks the life out of him. During the time off he became his old self and i loved and missed him so much.

The girls really loved him being home too. They are doing great. Lily is learning how to tell time and reading really well. I am also teaching her how to count by 2's and 5's and 10's. She is becoming so self assured that it makes me proud. She does what she wants and doesnt let anyone really persway her other wise. Unless she really wants to play with them.

Daisy is learning how to read. She is doing great. She knows how to figure out words by herself unless she is bored with it. Which happens with in 5 minutes of it. But what can i do she is still 3 almost 4. She is writting pretty good. She can almost spell her name all by herself. She misses a letter sometimes or mixes them up. It is really cute.

Laura gave me for Christmas a book called "Fresh Bread". Each month has questions at the end so i figured maybe i should answer them on here.

?what grieves you about the past year?
It grieves me that we didn't get Frank to come home to Washington. Our scheduals and money just didnt allow for it to happen. It also grieves me that I didnt take the girls on more field trips. But it is hard here in the middle of no where when everything is at least an hour away.

?What "joys" you about your past year?
My greatest joy is that Frank was home for the whole year when other Army guys have to go after being home for a few months. Also that i am able to be home to homeschool our girls and that they are learning so much about God and Jesus and learning to rely on Him. The last thing that brings me joy is that we found a church with a great kids program and wonderful people. That has been one of my prayers all year and it was answered.

Well that does it for now. Hope all are well. Take care and God bless!!!!
